Harp Requirements
The following audition material will be used as a guideline to determine each student's level of proficiency in order to bring a successful contribution to Sarasota Youth Orchestra ensembles.
Harp students auditioning for the Youth Symphony or Youth Philharmonic will be asked to perform:
- A solo piece or etude of choice. (Please supply an extra copy for the conductors at your audition).
- A short sight-reading exercise(s) to demonstrate reading ability.
Please note that harp positions are available based upon repertoire needs for the season. Harpists winning auditions placement in the Youth Orchestra program may not need to attend all orchestra rehearsals.
